CFS Swine Feed Sales Team Recognized at Purina Summit

Apr 12, 2019

Congratulations to Brad Kluver, David Faber, and Ed Hubly who were awarded the Purina Summit Club Sales Leadership Award at a Purina event held in Nashville last week. This award is achieved by meeting sales and service goals set by Purina, focusing on growth of products sold year over year.  These three were recognized alongside 83 others out of 571 total sales staff eligible across the 50 states and are ranked in the top 23 in the nation.  CFS is one of the few companies who had more than one sales representative achieve this award.

“This CFS group is a great example of what a team effort looks like.  When one wins, they all win.  We all win.” Stated Tom Virnig, Purina. But it was more than just the teamwork of the sales staff, and much of the growth the CFS feed team has experienced has been possible with all of the hard work of the employees working in the mills and delivering the feed on time, especially in light of the weather challenges we have faced.

About the Industry:
Virnig also stated, “It is a challenging environment, but the progress we’ve made with the programs provided by the co-ops and the service these reps are providing our customers will keep all of us successful.”

Corn:
Planting and weather conditions are the name of the game currently. With planting progress looking very favorable and the weather forecast showing above normal temps and below normal precipitation for much of the corn belt all signs point to very good planting conditions. With that, we gave up yesterday’s gains on old crop and put in some new lows on December corn.
