The Cream of the Crop Award is to recognize the dedication and hard work of one of our CFS team-mates. This is when we proudly thank someone for their contributions to our co-op, our patrons and our teams – this award is for someone who truly is the “Cream of the Crop”!
The recipient of the September 2020 Cream of the Crop Award is Brenda Hardel!
Brenda has worked in the accounting department at CFS for 19 years. During that time, Brenda has willingly taken on any accounting tasks and job duties we have thrown at her. In addition to doing all the agronomy purchasing invoices, she also reconciles multiple bank accounts and is the go-to person on fixed assets. She always is willing to step in and help with whatever is needed – from answering the phone and taking payments in the office to volunteering to be at a location operating the grain scale during harvest and operating an agronomy scale in the spring. Her calm, common sense approach, coupled with her knowledge of all areas of accounting and willingness to help makes her a valuable asset to the accounting team and a CFS “Cream of the Crop”!
