Congratulations to the Cream of the Crop Award Winner

Mar 06, 2019

This award is for recognizing the dedication and hard work of one of our team-mates.  This is when we proudly thank someone for their contributions to our co-op, our patrons, and our local teams – this award is for someone who truly is “Cream of the Crop.”

For the month of January, please join me in congratulating Randy Fox of Clarks Grove for being selected for our cream of the crop award!

Randy is consistently setting the example of what it means to be a “CFS” employee.  Randy has been willingly volunteering to float across the divisional lines at CFS to help drive feed truck at Freeborn to help out through this tough winter.  He has willingly volunteered to do this task and others, even for long hours, in tough weather, and on a weekends.   Randy humbly disclosed upon receiving the award that he is “just one person” and he is proud to part of his TEAM at Clarks Grove, Agronomy, and CFS.  Randy truly exemplifies a “Cream of the Crop” individual!

Kudos to Randy for leading by example and being a solid performer for our team – our success is determined by efforts like yours!

Corn:
Planting and weather conditions are the name of the game currently. With planting progress looking very favorable and the weather forecast showing above normal temps and below normal precipitation for much of the corn belt all signs point to very good planting conditions. With that, we gave up yesterday’s gains on old crop and put in some new lows on December corn.

May is Beef Month!

I am proud to be a part of the cattle industry. Heart, dedication, and hard work are the words that come to mind when I think of the cattle industry. I am proud of our cattle producers as they put a lot of time and effort into raising, caring for, and providing a healthy, nutritious protein source to sustain our society.
