CFS Presents a $3,000 Grant to the Kenyon-Wanamingo FFA Chapter. The purpose for the grant money is for each chapter to use the funds to focus on developing and applying leadership and classroom skills with activities, projects, or events that help improve our rural communities and/or service those who live there. The Kenyon-Wanamingo FFA chapter will use the funds to conduct a summer leadership retreat and the materials for the Parliamentary Procedure packages for those who attend.
CFS employee, Mike Keller, CFS Certified Energy Specialist was on hand to present the Kenyon-Wanamingo FFA chapter with a check for $1,500 and matching funds from the Land O’Lakes Foundation of $1,500 for a total of $3,000.

Highlights as of 5/16:
Corn:
Planting and weather conditions are the name of the game currently. With planting progress looking very favorable and the weather forecast showing above normal temps and below normal precipitation for much of the corn belt all signs point to very good planting conditions. With that, we gave up yesterday’s gains on old crop and put in some new lows on December corn.

I am proud to be a part of the cattle industry. Heart, dedication, and hard work are the words that come to mind when I think of the cattle industry.
