Fusarium

  • Chronic and widespread soil-borne pathogen
  • Causes seedling damping-off
  • Results in late emergence, lodging, poor stands, stunted plants and root rot which can reduce effectiveness of root system season long
  • Problematic in cool, wet to saturated soils — especially in early season

Phytophthora

  • Significant soil-borne pathogen that suppresses soybean yields worldwide
  • Causes damping-off and seed and root rot
  • Results in stunting, plant death from emergence through R5, stand reduction and yield loss
  • Problematic in saturated, compact soils

Pythium

  • Soil-borne pathogen prevalent in almost all cultivated soils
  • Causes seedling and root rot, leading to pre- and post-emergence damping-off
  • Results in slowed emergence, reduced stand and vigor and yield loss
  • Problematic in cool, saturated soils

Rhizoctonia

  • Common soil-borne pathogen present in nearly all soils
  • Causes pre- and post-emergence damping-off and root/stem rot
  • Can result in stand reduction up to 50%
  • Problematic in warm, wet soils in early to mid-summer
